Dad’s Attic is more than just a shop—it’s a tribute to founder Paul Jarvis’ late father, Melvin, a lifelong comic book and trading card enthusiast. Growing up, Paul and Melvin spent their weekends at flea markets, talking with other collectors and playing video games at their stall. After Melvin’s unexpected passing in 2009, Paul stored away his father’s beloved collection in the attic, not realizing that years later, it would inspire something much bigger.

When Paul rediscovered the boxes after moving to Atlanta, he decided to bring the collection to trade shows, sharing the same passion he and his father once enjoyed. As they sat at their first show, Dad’s Attic was born, named after the place where it all began. Since their inventory is always changing, they came up with the phrase, “What’s in the trunk today?”, making every visit to their booth an exciting hunt for new treasures.

At Dad’s Attic, you’ll find a mix of graded and raw comics, spanning from Silver Age classics to today’s biggest hits, as well as a wide selection of non-sport trading cards featuring Marvel, DC, television, and movies. They also carry unique artwork, action figures, and collectibles, making it the perfect stop for comic book lovers and pop culture fans. If there’s a specific character or storyline you’re searching for, Paul is happy to go on the hunt and track it down for you. As they settle into Charlies Collectible Show, they will also be offering comic subscription boxes, allowing collectors to set aside their favorite titles as new issues are released.

One special detail at the booth is a stuffed Spider-Man, a nod to Melvin’s favorite Marvel hero. It’s a reminder that he’s still watching over the collection, just as he did years ago.
